Foreword of the Dossier : Feed resources for livestock
Abstract
Feed resources are at the heart of most sustainability issues facing livestock systems. This Dossier of the journal “INRA Productions Animales” reviews the production and flows of plant raw materials in the world, the European Union and France, and focus on some issues related to by-products and protein self-sufficiency, to the assessment of feed resources, the efficiency of their conversion by animals and the environmental impact of animal feed resources.
