Predicting the dietary energy value of raw materials used in poultry production
Published : 3 July 1990
Abstract
The equations developed by INRA for predicting the energy values of 10 groups of raw materials used in poultry production are shown here. Difficulties usually encountered when establishing such equations are described. These difficulties are at the origin of new methods used for calculating equations. The new equations are less empirical and also less specialized. The use of a waterinsoluble cell-wall (WICW) determination enabled these new systems to be developed.
