Genomic selection in dairy cattle

Abstract

Dairy cattle are undoubtedly the most experienced agricultural species regarding the integration of molecular information for selectionpurposes. Although most prominent countries run genomic evaluations, these tools are being integrated into selection schemes invarious ways depending on the actual constraints of each country. We present a survey of the use of molecular information in dairycattle throughout the world.
